How do I maintain my walking scooter?

Taking care of your walking scooter is easy, and with the right care it will last a long time. At Eloped, we have designed our walking scooters to be both durable and user-friendly, which means that maintenance is minimal. Here are some tips to ensure your scooter is always in top shape.

Keep an eye on the tires

To get the best possible driving experience, it is important to maintain the correct air pressure in your tires. This not only makes the ride smoother, but also saves battery power. Check your tire pressure regularly and top up when necessary.

Battery care in cold weather

Lead acid batteries, which we use in our scooters, do not thrive in the cold. Storing your scooter outside during the winter can affect the battery's performance. We recommend bringing the battery inside if the temperature drops below zero degrees.

This way you extend the battery life and get better performance even on colder days. If you have our Smart Charger, you don't have to worry about charging time, it ensures that the battery is charged optimally, no matter how long it is connected.

Load correctly

To keep your battery in good condition, it is important to charge it correctly. We recommend that you do not charge the battery for more than 14 hours at a time, to avoid overcharging.

It is also a good idea to perform a maintenance charge once a month, especially if you do not use the scooter daily, to avoid the battery being deeply discharged.

Cleaning and maintenance

To keep your scooter looking nice and fresh, it may be a good idea to clean it regularly. It's easy to wipe the scooter down with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning agents, as they can damage the paint.
